NEET UG 2023 Registration Updates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the NEET UG exam 2023 will take place on May 7, 2023, across various centers in India.
While the UGC chairman previously stated the date for the NEET UG exam, the registrations were speculated to begin on March 1, 2023. However, there has been no update on the official website regarding the registration.
While many believe the registration will start later today, chances are that it might begin in the days to come.
Candidates interested in applying for the NEET UG 2023 exam can do so by heading to NEET’s official website, viz. Neet.nta.nic.in. once the notification for registration is announced.
The purpose of the NEET UG 2023 examination is to get admission into BDS, BAMS, MBBS, BHMS, and other medical courses. Candidates who want to apply need to have cleared +2 or be currently pursuing it and be from the science stream with biology as their main subject.
Based on the result of the NEET UG 2023 exam, candidates can then take admission in premier institutions such as AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, or other government and private institutes.
How to Register for the NEET UG 2023 Examination
To apply for the NEET UG 2023, the candidate needs to do the following:
To begin, go to neet.nta.nic.in, the official website for NTA NEET.
You will then be brought to the dashboard, from which you can check the activity of the candidate.
Then tap on the NEET registration link.
Further, ensure you fill in all the details, both personal and academic, correctly and upload the required documents as specified.
Moreover, after completing the registration, do not share your credentials with anyone, as it may result in misuse.
NEET UG 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2023 are as follows:
When applying or registering, the candidate must be at least 17 years old.
Further, the candidate needs to have a senior secondary pass certificate or be in the final stages of clearing his or her senior secondary exams.
Moreover, the candidate needs to be from the science stream with biology as their main subject.
Furthermore, if a candidate is from the open category, at least 50% of the marks must be obtained, whereas reserved candidates must obtain 40% of the marks.
